Q1 Apartment by MODOM
“The studio grew out of two small apartments that share the same concept of an open space with a fair and clear white color. The space has an axis with several areas of different functionality, which interconnect and seamlessly blend into one another. The sleeping area is partially separated from the living-room with its own couch.
Special lighting is there to help the couch support the uniformity of the space. There is a large dining room for guests, a small kitchen with essential things in it, a small screened off study, a library that is hidden in the axis and doors that create an infinite number of various spatial situations. All of this becomes a whole organism that lives by its own laws and rules. The floor with several layers of paint became background for a story.”
