VF House by Studio ro+ca
This apartment is located in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro. Just steps from the beach.
The initial idea was to create a space where the owner, a young single man in his 30s, could comfortably receive his friends.
The concept was to bring an urban atmosphere into this apartment. Bricks, concrete and a lot of black in the kitchen make up the mix of materials.
The kitchen was fully integrated into the living room. We use ceiling colors to delimit the kitchen space and the living room space.
The initial idea was to also unite the guest room, leaving only one door that could be opened if it was necessary to integrate the two spaces. But, as the work progressed, we discovered a structural French hand, a sloping concrete wall, which ended up becoming the highlight of the project.
To make a good closet, we pass this to the circulation, which connects the suite to the living room, and we reduced the guest bedroom, thus allowing the master bedroom not to be reduced to have the closet.
On the wall of the TV in the living room, we put a coating by Palimanam, English bricks. This wall extends through the hallway/closet to the bathroom. Giving a unity to these spaces.
