House on the Hill by Jensen Architects
The rear façade and master suite of a hillside home is reimagined to take advantage of stunning city and bay views. The back wall of the top floor was reconfigured with a floor to ceiling glass wall.
The glass wraps the corners bringing the living room and dining room right into the cityscape. A cantilevered structural glass floor deck allows the occupants to float above the city and become part of the view.
The wood floors of the lower level extend past the glass wall, as an ipe deck and stair, bringing the outside right into the master suite, and providing a more direct link to the back yard.
The entire wall separating the master bathroom and bedroom pockets away to provide light and views all the way from the bath tub.
Graphic marble walls and dark porcelain stoneware tiled floors in the bathroom contrast with modern white and chrome geometric cabinetry and fixtures.
