Guo’s Residence by Z-AXIS DESIGN
“An old house in Taichung City, designer injected modern style into the overall area to outline simple and neat space line. By using large pieces of materials and contrasting colour depth to create a chic, sophisticated life style. Non-divided design makes living & dining areas look more open and spacious, a marble wall and a bar are placed to lead the house line, plus contrasting colour of sofa and gadgets add a sense of tidy, urban atmosphere into the space.
A large piece of light grey marble wall is as the TV wall in the living room, behind the wall are not-touch-the ground cabinets which represent a three-dimensional visual impression combined with storage function. At the entrance placed a wood art deco injects a rustic feel into the public space. By placing a bar to separate the dining area and wood grained sideboards to highlight different colour levels.
Due to longer front and rear diameter in the master bedroom, designer placed the bed in the middle region to increase more storage space, bedside wall used marble material to add a sense of art into the room. A row of wardrobes set behind the wall and also on the opposite side of the bed are as storage places. By setting wardrobes to replace a dressing room can make overall space look more spacious. Beside the window extends a couch platform which provides a resting, chatting place for family members.”
